Puma Then and Now

Puma was founded in 1948, and the first footwear released was the Atom soccer shoe. Shortly after that, athletes started wearing Puma clothing at championships and Olympics. In 1952, runner Josef Barthel wore Puma sneakers and won the Olympic gold medal in the 1500 meters run. And a couple of years later, the signature stripe was introduced, which has since been Puma's trademark.

To pay tribute to brand founder Rudolf Dassler, Puma has revived this classic model.
