Black Friday in the USA: where to find the best deals on products.
Black Friday in 2023 in America starts on November 24. This is the time when many items can be purchased with huge discounts of up to 70%. You just need to know where to look for these black friday deals and where to go for your favorite products. It's best to prepare in advance so you don't forget to buy something important on November 24. Stock up on New Year's gifts ahead of time! Apple does not hold Black Friday sales on its website. They are generally not inclined to lower the price of their goods. But fortunately, many other US stores attract customers to their sites with sales of their equipment. Most often these are not brand-new Apple iPhones, but some of the company's other products.
For example, on Amazon you can grab Apple Watch, Apple Macbook laptops or iPad tablets. There are only a few thousand such discounts and they sell out very quickly, so it's best to monitor the offers regularly if you want to save several tens of thousands of rubles. Moreover, in 2023, just like in 2022, Amazon is holding an earlier sale to satisfy buyers before Black Friday and take revenue from other retailers. Their promotion is called Prime Big Deals Day and starts on 10-11 October.
Target has good deals on Apple Macbook, Apple Watch and Apple earbuds. This year they are also running a promotion from 1-7 October, in addition to the regular Black Friday. And from 1 October to 24 December there is a Deal of the Day promotion.
There are rumors that this year Apple iPhone Pro will be sold at a discount on eBay. This once-largest American auction site is trying very hard to become an official store to compete worthily with Amazon. In recent years their online discounts have been very generous. Be sure to check them out during Black Friday — you will be pleasantly surprised by the savings and variety.
In general, even during Black Friday discounts it is not possible to buy Apple with huge savings. The company itself does not lower prices on its goods, and stores can sell them only 10-20% below the regular price — at a loss to themselves, in order to attract customers. But in the US overall Apple equipment costs 1.5-2 times less than in Russian stores. So even if you buy an iPhone or iPad with minimal discounts, it will still save you tens of thousands of rubles compared to buying in Russia.
Please note that the duty-free import limit is equivalent to 1000 euros (after that you will have to pay a small duty). And each individual item in the parcel must cost up to 2500 dollars.
On March 2, 2022, Asos left Russia, and even in Kazakhstan it is possible to buy this high-quality clothing only in a limited format. Amazon is mainly focused on underwear. It offers profitable and fast delivery (including free delivery to the Prostobox warehouse for orders over $25), so Americans often buy inexpensive or small items here. Best Android smartphones. Without extra intrusive apps in the firmware, with the best camera and specs. At the same time, in Russia “Pixels” are officially unavailable. Unofficially, prices for them are quite high. Even the old Google Pixel 6 sells for 35-45 thousand rubles, depending on the store. This is significantly more expensive than on Amazon or at BHPhotoVideo ($340 new, or $240 if it was taken out of the box). At the same time, Japanese or other very strange versions are often sold on Ozon, with color restrictions.
Naturally, you should buy a Google Pixel in the USA. This is where the smartphone has the lowest prices. Even much lower than in China on AliExpress (where they ask $350-$400 for a Pixel 6), plus no risk of getting a counterfeit.

Not many people know this, but Lenovo is largely an American company. Ever since the Chinese Legend bought the IBM division that manufactured laptops, the main R&D centers have been relocated to the US and even most of its management are Americans too. That’s why it’s one of the few “Chinese” companies that trade freely in the US market and even create special products for it. Americans love Lenovo a lot: on the one hand, great specs and stylish design, on the other — low prices (thanks to manufacturing lines in China).

Surprisingly, buying Lenovo laptops in the US is far more profitable than in China — provided you catch them on sale. In the States, the discounts are genuine, and when Black Friday hits, every brand tries to outdo the rest.
High-quality jeans Levi's are easiest to buy in the USA. The official store Levi.com/US/ holds huge sales after Thanksgiving. Discounts on men's and women's Levi's reach up to 75%. Famous Levi's 501 Original can be bought for $100-$110. And a high-quality Levi's jacket (levi's trucker jacket) these days costs from $90.
Sometimes better deals, especially on Wrangler jeans, can be found on Amazon. But overall, the best discounts on Levi's products are on the official website and at Macy's. Of course, New Balance shoes should only be bought in the USA. In China there are too many counterfeits of them (with the branded NB logo, but completely different quality). There are several options worth visiting for such shoes:

Nike.com — surprisingly, the company’s official site isn’t very developed, and buying here generally isn’t a good deal. However, this is the only place where the latest collections are sold at a discount, like trendy Nike Dunk or the newest Nike Tech and Nike AirMax models.

Men's polo Ralph Lauren are sold there for just $30-$50 (instead of $100), and branded women's cardigans — from $90 (instead of the usual $190).
But still, check out Macy's, especially on Black Friday days in the US. With promo codes and unique discounts, you can sometimes buy Ralph Lauren T-shirts from $27, and hoodies — from $34. An ideal gift for a husband or child who wants to wear premium-class clothing and feel comfortable. Some collections from Polo Ralph Lauren are also sold on Amazon, although the selection of colors and styles there is slightly limited.
Very few people know this, but in the US the company has its own store, Samsung.com/US/, where during Black Friday and Cyber Monday there are very good discounts (similarly, by the way, with the Microsoft store, where you can profitably buy an Xbox or Surface laptops). Prices for the Samsung Galaxy S23 start at $749, and with discounts you can buy them even cheaper.
