Dear customers! As we already reported at the beginning of the week, the situation with international logistics has noticeably worsened. Moscow airports periodically suspend operations due to threats related to unmanned aerial vehicles. This leads to delays and flight cancellations.
As it became known today, Turkish Airlines is considering the possibility of moving some flights from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Read the news: https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/7776991
All of this directly affects CDEK shipments that are sent on flights of this airline to Russia. Our parcels in transit are still waiting in line for departure.
And in connection with this, we are pausing new CDEK shipments until next Thursday, June 12.
We have alternative routes, but we do not want to return batches already handed over for transportation from transit now, repack and reroute them via new routes. Moreover, additional restrictions may apply on other routes. And the entire process of return and repackaging may take more time than the pause we are taking.
If nothing changes during the week either in Moscow or in the operation of Turkish Airlines via St. Petersburg, we will take further measures and send parcels via new routes.
We also want to clarify right away that all parcels already packed under a specific tariff will not be repacked or reissued upon customer requests. They are palletized and waiting for the opportunity to leave the warehouse.
Other tariffs are operating stably. You can currently place shipments using any available tariffs, but we recommend choosing "Econom" and "Universal" if possible while uncertainty remains with Turkish Airlines and CDEK tariffs.
